A nude female figure arches at the edge of a dark body of water, caught in a posture of almost ecstatic surrender. Her pale body stands out sharply against a dense forest streaked with red, as though the vegetation itself were coursing with fire or blood. In the water, a dark winged presence seems to emerge or be reflected, turning the surface into a threshold between two worlds. The contrast between the body, the forest, and this apparition gives the scene a sense of possession, metamorphosis, and ritual passage.
