An enigmatic scene unfolds at the heart of a dark, stripped-back forest. A human figure appears suspended and carried away in a movement of ecstasy above a felled tree stump, whose concentric rings, soaked in blood, are hypnotic. The white lines of the engraving structure the trunks and the ground, while touches of red run through the composition like signs of life, bloodshed, and fire. A dark, horned figure watches over the ritual.
